Allen Simonsen a Odense, Denmark driver was racing in the 24 hours of Le Mans when early in the 24 hour race he crashed his GT car right into a steel fence that had nothing behind it but a tree. He hit the steel fence and tree and was not okay. He was taken to the in-care center of the race track for medical staff could take care of him. But a few hours later he succumbed to his injures and passed away.

He would have been 35 years old this week. We lost a champion to soon. RIP.
He was the 1999 Danish Formula Ford Champion
