Speedbowl will host 27 weeks of racing and one off week.

Speedbowl starts off March 30 with Friday practice, Sateruday holds Qulifing and races. And Sunday the Speedbowl will host. VMRS 100 Laps, SK Mods 62 Laps, LM 50 Laps, SS and MS 30 Laps and NEMA 25 Laps.

A new tour is entering the speedbowl on the opener. "New England Four Cylinder Pro Stocks" (NEFCPS) Is it something like Pro 4? Are they a Late Model tour? They don't have a website so I have no clue what they are.

All year long The Speedbowl will host 6 races every regular Saturday night. SK, LM, SS and MS will be the highlights, LC, BL, XC, SX and tours will take the other two spots.

May 5th. SS will go 50 Laps. 25 More then they regular go.

May 26th. ISMA will go 50 Laps.

June 2nd. Is the "2nd annual 4 cyl. Fury." MS will go 50 Laps. 25 more then they regular go. NEMST will go 50 Laps, Also Pro-4 will go 25 Laps with XC going 20 Laps.

June 23rd the WMT will come to the bowl for 160 Laps.

June 30th is the Mid season 300. SK 100 Laps, LM, MS and SS will go 50 Laps and SKL and LC will go 25 Laps.

July 7th the Speedbowl will have a week off.

July 28th is Nostalgia Night with the NEMA tour and NEAR, STAR and VMR.

August 4th the Late Models will go 50 Laps.

August 11th is the 5th annual Wings n Wheels with the VMRS 100 Laps, ISMA 50 Laps, SK 35 Laps, NEMA and SKL 25 Laps.

August 25th the LC will go 50 Laps.

September 1st is the "4th annual Thunder on the Sound" High Lighting the night would be the SK Mod Nats 150 Laps. With 8 more races to join the night.

October 5th - 7th is the Speedbowl finally. The last event is still in the works. So far they have 12 races. On Sunday the mine features will be. SK 62 Laps, LM, SS and MS 50 Laps. LC and SKL 25 Laps.

Here is some tidbit news and notes I seen looking over the 2012 Schedule.

Just like Thompson the speedbowl Late Models will have a limited schedule this year. It's not as bad as Thompson. The Late Models will have 5 OFF weeks as they will race 21 times out of the 27 weeks.

June 2nd the SS will have a week off.

I do not see "Allison legacy north racing series." (ALNRS) The website is down. does anyone know what is going on? Did they fold? Are they still talking about racing this year?

The WnWW have 21 races this year.

The HDRA –100 Foot Drags will have 22 events this year.

May 27th is the "Memorial Day Madness."

Sometime in June and July the Speedbowl will host the "No More Teachers Bash."

September 2nd the speedbowl will host the "Back 2 School Bash."

October 20th the speedbowl will host "Smacktoberfest."

All in all I like what they have to offer. The 62 Laps at the end of the year looks more fun then the 50 Laps they offered up last year. What's a better way to celebrate the age of the Speedbowl then starting off with it's age and then saying goodbye to it's age at the end of the racing season. As we wait for it's 63rd birthday.

What do you all think of the 2012 Schedule?

If I had to take a guess, I'd say the New England Four Cylinder Pro Stocks are the former Allison legacy north racing series.

NEMA and NEMA Lts. returns to the 2012 Finale race of the year October 5-7. For the past few years they have been a part of the Seekonk Finale. Seekonk has ditched the 2 day weekend and will hold the last race of the year Oct 6 on a Saturday. Leaving seekonk and speedbowl fans to see two big races at two tracks in one weekend.

Here is schedule change for the NEMA race that is coming in a few weeks. That are not on the Waterford Speedbowl Sat Event page. May 12 On the Speedbowl page it just says NEMA Lights but on the NEMA website it says that the big brother series would be accompanying the Lights. Called the "NEMA 60th Anniversary Special Marvin Rifchin Trophy Race." Or unless one of the websites is wrong. ::shrugs::

It could just be my computer but I only see the Saturday night events going to Wing n Wheels and that's it. Anyone else see that to? I'm not really complaining. The waterford Speedbowl website scedule is the best and most helpful schedule for any track in the north east. Props for them for making a cool website!

I think the week before or whenever they can fit it in....the speedbowl should honor the "racing vet" Steve Barrett before he gets sent over seas. He's a pretty cool dude and he serves his country...Just a thought....Mr Eames.

I was thinking. With the WMT Mr. Rooter 160 coming to the bowl on June 23rd. Why now give them 2 more laps? Seeing on how we start with the SK's going 62 Laps to celebrate the Speedbowl's age. And end with a 62 Lap SK Mod race at the finally. Why not change it to the WMT Mr. Rooter 162. It can be a running theme if the WMT keeps on coming back to the Bowl. Just like how we open and now close the Speedbowl SK mod's. If I see Scott Tapley, Mark Caise or Terry Eames around the grand stands this Saturday, I'll voice to them my idea. What do you all think? Do you think it's a good idea? Would it cost the Bowl more money for 2 more laps? I would love to hear someone else thought on this topic.

those guys wont have much voice in getting the race extended. it wont cost more. Im sure NASCAR has a formula they are using to make the lap count make sense. is 160 laps a 200km race? are there 2 20 lap heat races?
