Kinda think its foolish, the race is set. Sk's allready ran they're 62 lapper, i just the tour coming back is celabration enough, but that's just my opinion. Woulda been good idea pre- schedue but not this far after.

2 heat races? I thought they only qualify on time. ::shrugs:: Who knows. But it is an idea to think about next year.

the tour entry blank is not out yet, so I really cant say what qualifying will be. it will probably pay $2600 to win like Riverhead and Mad Dog are this year. $300 for last.

I did talk to a good friend of mine who runs the tour, they were told at Thompson this is the last year they can run their current seats, next year they have to buy a seat that costs approx $4000.

those guys wont have much voice in getting the race extended. it wont cost more. Im sure NASCAR has a formula they are using to make the lap count make sense. is 160 laps a 200km race? are there 2 20 lap heat races?

160 laps at the speedbowl is ~80km.

I talked to Mark for a minute about the idea and he told me that the bowl has no control at how many laps they can request.

160 Laps = 60 Miles.
60 Miles = 96.5 Kilometers (Google and my phone says so.)

160 laps = 53.3 miles.
53.3 mi = 85.75km.

If your going by the .333 then you would get that. But I'm going by what NASCAR says what the speedbowl is. .375. :P

Exactly Paul. Matt apparently missed the memo a few years back when the Speedbowl went from the 1/3 mile oval to the 3/8 mile oval.

True about the seats Shadow as they will be required to have SFI tags for the seats next season on the Tour, plus it looks like they will have quick change rears also. Hmmmmm sounds to me like alot of money roughly 2seats=8k 2rears=4k total changes from 2012 to 2013=12k Not sure of the numbers as I am just guessing but I am sure it won't he a cheap change.
